In 1936, an Crayford armanent factory caught fire and burnt down.

Children’s Playhouse 1937

In 1937, the wife of Dartford MP Frank Clarke officially opened a model of a suburban house.

Built in scale at one third the real size, the small house was made of concrete. The news item suggests the house was designed and built by some boys.
