It’s interesting to hear about the changes underway in the museum sector to introduce gifts and better places to eat. We take these for granted now, but it was a bit controversial at the time to make history into a form of entertainment!

In 1987, Warwick Castle welcomed more 642,000 visitors, the first year they ever received such large numbers.

I love learning about history, and for the past 30 years have enjoyed books, films, and documentaries on the topic. On days off from work my favourite destination with friends and family are museums, historic buildings, and archaeological sites, or just walking around interesting streets with old buildings to admire.
