Stourport In The 1920s

At the Stourport Carnival in 1926, there was a range of costumes and characters on display.

The comedy King and Queen sat with two little girls nestled between them at the back of an open topped car.

Women dressed as nurses, belly dancers, and Pierrots, while the children arrived as clowns and Red Indians as they were then known.

The floats were horse drawn decorated vehicles.
