An old photo of Lowick, Northumberland

The tiny settlement of Lowick in Northumberland is close to the ancient town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Once the region of Border Reivers and tussles between the Scots and English, by the end of the 1900s it was a rural community where children played together as horses and carts went by.
